Meetings at the NapoliTano Tango Festival

The location of the Festival will be, for the whole duration of the event, a tango village , a large milonga during the dance evenings, but also a meeting point and a place of cultural exchange for the rest of the day.

The Festival, in fact, will be open all day long.

You will find information booths and displays on tango, on Neapolitan song, as well as on Argentinean culture, traditions and society.

The program of the festival will be enriched by a short programme of meetings; professors from the University of Naples, experts of the Neapolitan song and of Argentine tango, Horacio Ferrer, chairman of the of the Buenos Aires Tango academy, Roger Renaud (University of Paris VII), who is interested in the ethnological aspects of tango.

Not only conferences or round tables with experts, but also close encounters with people or themes related to the festival, so as to foster sharing, understanding and deepening, without loosing, however, the spirit of the festival, i.e., to convey feelings and to stimulate suggestion .
 

That is, the right spirit to get in touch with Tango and interpret it.
